MATH

- Students can brush up on math skills using the everyday math games and practice topics. Students also have access to their reference books and study links pages on this website.
This website is a great tool for at home. If your student leaves their study links pages at their house, then they can find them on this website. There are also plenty of videos that parents and students can watch to brush up on how to do a specific type of math problem.

WRITING
Fifth grade students will also be using 6 Traits to help develop their writing skills. Their three portfolio pieces will be assessed this year using the 6 Traits Writing Rubric.
In addition to using 6 traits we will be focusing a great deal of time on using empowering writers to learn the basic format of expository writing. There are also helpful tools via this website for narrative and persuasive writing, as well.
